What this means

“Research use only” is the product's entire intended use. Every compound we supply is a research chemical for in-vitro laboratory experimentation and analytical work. It is not for human or animal use of any kind — not for consumption, injection, topical application, inhalation, or any diagnostic, therapeutic, or veterinary purpose, in any amount, under any circumstances.

Regulatory status

Our products are not drugs, dietary supplements, foods, cosmetics, or medical devices. No product or statement on this site has been evaluated or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Nothing here is a claim of safety, efficacy, or suitability for any use in humans or animals — including the compound descriptions, family classifications, and research-maturity tiers, which summarize published research context only. A Certificate of Analysis documents a batch's tested identity and purity; it is not an approval or a fitness-for-purpose claim.

Who may buy

We sell only to buyers who are at least 21 years old and who purchase in a professional capacity — researchers, laboratories, institutions, and businesses with a legitimate research purpose. Placing an order is a certification that you meet these requirements and that the products will be handled by people trained to work with research chemicals. We refuse or cancel orders that appear intended for personal use.

Safe handling

Research compounds can be hazardous if mishandled. They must be stored as labeled (see each batch's Certificate of Analysis and the product's storage guidance), handled in an appropriate laboratory setting with suitable personal protective equipment, and disposed of according to applicable regulations. You are responsible for compliance with all federal, state, local, and institutional rules that apply to acquisition, storage, use, and disposal.

Misuse

Diverting a research compound to human or animal use violates our Terms of Sale and may violate federal and state law. The buyer bears all responsibility and risk for any use of a product after delivery; catalystX disclaims all liability for misuse.
