Terms of sale

The terms below govern every purchase from catalystX. The short version: our products are for laboratory research only, you certify you're qualified to buy them, and our warranty is the Certificate of Analysis.

Agreement: These Terms of Sale are a binding agreement between you and catalystX lab LLC ("catalystX", "we", "us"). Placing an order, creating an account, or using this site means you accept them in full. If you do not accept them, do not order. We may update these terms; the version posted at the time of your order governs that order.
Research use only: Every product we sell is a research chemical supplied strictly for in-vitro laboratory research and analytical use. Our products are not drugs, foods, dietary supplements, cosmetics, or medical devices. They are not for human or animal consumption, administration, or application of any kind — including ingestion, injection, topical use, or any diagnostic or therapeutic use. No statement on this site has been evaluated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, and nothing we sell is approved for any medical purpose. See the research-use disclaimer.
Buyer certification: By ordering, you certify that: (a) you are at least 21 years old; (b) you are a qualified researcher, or are purchasing on behalf of a laboratory, institution, or business, acting in a professional capacity; (c) the products will be used exclusively for lawful laboratory research by persons trained to handle them; and (d) you will not resell, relabel, or divert any product for human or animal use. We may refuse, cancel, or refund any order — before or after payment — if we believe these certifications are untrue or the intended use is improper.
No medical advice: Content on this site — compound descriptions, classifications, the peptide family tree, research-maturity tiers, and Certificates of Analysis — is provided for research context only. It is not medical advice, a recommendation for use, or a claim of safety or efficacy, and it must not be relied on for any health-related decision.
Ordering & payment: Prices are in U.S. dollars and may change without notice; the price at checkout governs your order. Your order is an offer to purchase, accepted when we send an order confirmation. Payment is collected by our payment processor on a secure hosted checkout page — your full card details never touch our servers. We may cancel any order we suspect is fraudulent, placed by an ineligible buyer, or affected by an obvious pricing or stock error; cancelled orders are refunded in full. Initiating a chargeback on a valid, delivered order instead of using our claims process is a breach of these terms.
Shipping & risk of loss: We ship within the United States only, with tracking. In-stock orders ship in 1–2 business days; pre-order items ship when their batch arrives and clears testing. Risk of loss passes to you on delivery to the address you provided. You are responsible for the accuracy of your shipping address and for proper storage and handling after delivery. Returns: Because research compounds cannot be inspected and restocked once they leave our custody, all sales are final. We replace or refund anything that arrives damaged or incorrect — claims within 7 days of delivery. Full process: returns & refunds.
Limited warranty: Our sole warranty is that each product conforms to its batch Certificate of Analysis at the time of shipment. EXCEPT FOR THAT WARRANTY, ALL PRODUCTS ARE SUPPLIED “AS IS” AND WE DISCLAIM ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. Your exclusive remedy for a non-conforming product is replacement or refund of the purchase price.
Assumption of risk; indemnity: Research chemicals can be hazardous if mishandled. You assume all risk arising from the storage, handling, use, or misuse of products after delivery. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless catalystX lab LLC and its officers, employees, and suppliers from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use or misuse of any product, your breach of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
Limitation of liability: TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM A SALE OR FROM USE OF THIS SITE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE PRODUCT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted.
Compliance with law: You are solely responsible for complying with all federal, state, local, and institutional laws and policies that apply to your purchase, possession, and use of research compounds — including any licensing, registration, occupational-safety, and disposal requirements. Products may not be exported without all required authorizations.
Intellectual property: The site, its content, and the catalystX name and marks are our property or used under license (compound family data is attributed where shown). You may not copy, scrape, or reuse site content for commercial purposes without written permission.
Governing law: These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally must be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
General: If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These terms, together with the policies they link to, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding a sale.
